Supply Chain & Imports Specialist – Pharma Excipients & APIs

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain & Imports Specialist to oversee the full import cycle of pharmaceutical excipients and APIs in Egypt. The role involves managing documentation, shipments, pricing, and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery to our warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate shipping documents (CI, PL, BL/AWB, COA, COO, packing list, etc.) with high accuracy.
• Handle COA specifications, coordinate adjustments to analysis techniques as required by Egyptian clients.
• Manage the import process from pro‑forma invoice to warehouse delivery, tracking bookings, ETD/ETA, customs clearance and final receipt.
• Communicate with foreign suppliers on pro‑forma invoices, shipment details, payment terms and basic price negotiations.
• Maintain structured pricing and supplier history for excipients and APIs.
• Calculate and track supplier commissions using internal templates.
• Coordinate with sales, finance and warehouse on stock levels, incoming shipments and priorities.
• Prepare regular reports on open purchase orders, shipment status, landed costs and margin evolution.

Required profile

• 2–4 years experience in pharma raw‑material distribution or similar import/trading role in Egypt.
• Solid knowledge of shipping documents, Incoterms and payment terms (LC, TT, CAD, etc.) and basic customs procedures.
• Experience communicating with foreign suppliers.
• Familiarity with COAs for excipients/APIs and general knowledge of pharma excipients and APIs.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
