System & Security Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a System & Security Engineer to harden Windows and Linux environments and ensure continuous, secure operation of critical business services. You will work on a highly available infrastructure, aligning security practices with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI‑DSS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure Windows and Linux systems using vulnerability scanners and compliance tools.
• Configure system hardening, access control lists, and endpoint protection across servers and workstations.
• Lead incident response activities, investigate threats, contain incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex security issues and provide high‑level support.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date security architecture diagrams, SOPs and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, vendors and stakeholders to integrate security solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of hands‑on experience securing Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to design, implement and troubleshoot complex security architectures.
