System Validation Engineer – Power Electronics

About the role

The System Validation Engineer – Power Electronics will join Valeo’s GTSC Software R&D team to ensure the quality and reliability of power‑related automotive systems. You will work on defining test strategies, automating regression suites and performing manual verification of complex features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to test strategies and detailed test plans for power electronics projects.
• Define and implement automation strategies for regression, release and continuous testing.
• Execute manual tests for complex scenarios that cannot be automated.
• Design, code and document automated test cases and maintain the automation framework.
• Report bugs and quality issues clearly and track them to resolution.
• Analyse automated functional test results to verify coverage adequacy.
• Determine testing scope for each release and system‑level test cycle.
• Apply appropriate test metrics and measurements for the product and the testing team.
• Identify improvement areas in existing systems and propose enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in power electronics validation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong foundation in power electronics.

Required skills

• Power electronics and electrical drives.
• Embedded systems and micro‑controller development (Aurix MC a plus).
• AUTOSAR and basic BSW knowledge.
• System engineering concepts (requirements, architecture, verification).
• Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 awareness.
• Test automation, regression testing and manual testing techniques.
