Technical Design Associate Manager

About the role

Hyde Park Developments is looking for a Technical Design Associate Manager in New Cairo City. The role manages, reviews and coordinates consultants' designs from the schematic design stage through to the issued-for-construction stage, ensuring the final product fits the company's strategy and maximises revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in early concept design and advise on design codes, standards and technical issues to consider.
• Supervise the design process from schematic stage to IFC package, ensuring compliance with project concept, quality and schedule.
• Issue tender documents according to the tender package strategy, manage tenderer queries on design matters and follow up on consultant replies.
• Keep project costs within the approved budget and apply value engineering to multidisciplinary design aspects.
• Review and amend documents from consultants so that local and international codes and standards are met, the design is complete under the consultant contract and submittals are on time.
• Select materials according to project requirements using updated technologies.
• Review consultants' invoices and payment percentages for approval or rejection against contracts and submittals.
• Liaise with the CRM department to make design modifications requested by clients.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in design management within real estate development, consultancy or construction.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants across concept, schematic, detailed design and IFC stages.
• Experience managing large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use projects is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in value engineering, design review and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.
