Technical Office Engineer – Mechanical Design & Piping

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Office Engineer to join our engineering team in Egypt. The role focuses on mechanical design, piping layout, and 3D modelling for industrial projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and seamless coordination across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical and piping drawings, layouts, and fabrication documents.
• Develop accurate 3D models using SolidWorks and/or equivalent CAD tools.
• Perform piping routing and plant layout with AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar software.
• Generate isometric, general arrangement, spool, and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams.
• Review project specifications, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and vendor drawings.
• Support engineering calculations, design verification, and value‑engineering activities.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, material take‑offs, and bills of material.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in a technical office or mechanical design environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems, plant engineering, and relevant codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
