Technical Supervisor (Works) – North Africa & Middle East

About the role

The Technical Supervisor (Works) will lead the planning, execution and coordination of structural projects across the North Africa and Middle East region. You will ensure cemeteries, memorials and related assets are maintained to the standards set by the Commission, while managing budgets, health‑and‑safety compliance and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Principal Project Supervisor for all annual construction and maintenance projects in the assigned region.
• Conduct structural condition surveys and technical inspections, entering data into the CWGC Condition Survey Software.
• Prepare specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical documentation for specialised projects.
• Implement health‑and‑safety policies, manage contractor safety and report incidents.
• Coordinate with Technical, Operations, Regional, Finance and HR managers on budget and staffing matters.
• Procure materials, manage supplies and oversee the execution of works projects.
• Maintain accurate records of cemetery plans, technical data and conservation management plans.
• Plan and undertake international travel for inspections, supervision and condition surveys.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven experience supervising structural construction and maintenance projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Condition Survey Software.
