Telco Cloud Performance & Optimization Engineer

About the role

The Telco Cloud Performance & Optimization Engineer ensures optimal performance, scalability, and efficiency of the Telco Cloud infrastructure that supports telecom applications and network functions. You will monitor, analyze, and tune cloud resources to maintain high availability and reliability in virtualized and cloud‑native environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
• Analyze infrastructure KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Optimize resource utilization across VMs, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud services.
• Track CPU, memory, storage, network throughput, disk I/O, and virtualization metrics.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecast growth based on traffic trends.
• Validate performance after software upgrades, hardware changes, or platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations, IT, Network Engineering, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Generate regular performance reports and develop automated dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and availability targets.
• Document optimization activities, best practices, and procedures.
• Participate in major incident investigations and post‑incident analysis.
• Propose proactive initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, IT or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in Telco Cloud, Cloud Infrastructure, NFV, or Telecom Virtualization.
• Strong understanding of Telco Cloud architecture and Cloud‑Native Network Functions (CNFs).
• Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms for telecom workloads.
• Knowledge of Linux system administration and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to monitor production infrastructure and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
