Treasury Analyst - Credit Rating, ALM and Balance Sheet Analytics

About the role

This is an analyst position supporting the Treasurer's function in the bank's treasury middle office. The role owns and champions the credit rating process, asset-liability management analysis and post-ante balance sheet analytics, helping the bank keep track of its assets and liabilities on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the credit rating process strategy, drivers modelling, monitoring and reporting, planning and budgeting, meeting preparation and relationship management
• Prepare liquidity forecasts for stress testing and develop liquidity assumptions
• Carry out ad-hoc analysis on the liquidity impact of the bank's initiatives
• Work with other functions to prepare the credit ratings book

Required profile

• First degree in a relevant discipline such as accounting, financial management, economics or a related field, plus a postgraduate degree in a relevant field; a recognised professional certification may be accepted in lieu of a postgraduate degree
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a treasury function, preferably in the financial services industry
• Recognised professional qualification in Treasury (e.g. AMCT, CTP, ACT certificates) or Accounting (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a strong added advantage
• Demonstrated leadership, including managing people from varied cultural backgrounds

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting for treasury activities
• Solid grounding in financial systems database methodologies and financial modelling, and experience with Treasury Management Systems
• Advanced Excel skills and computer literacy (e.g. SQL, Crystal Reports)
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; French, Arabic and Portuguese are an added advantage
