Treasury and Markets Manager (PAPSS Settlements)

About the role

The role supports the Treasurer with the PAPSS Settlement Back Office Settlement Activities, within an expanding team with strong demand for resources. It works within the Treasurer's function on the PAPSS settlement initiative, taking a supervisory lead in running the PAPSS Settlement Process effectively and efficiently, and helping build a best-in-class treasury PAPSS function.

Key responsibilities

• Treasury PAPSS Settlement Management
• Treasury PAPSS Activities Analysis
• Treasury PAPSS Reconciliations and Investigations
• Treasury PAPSS Settlement Data Ownership and Custody
• Treasury PAPSS Reporting, Team Management and Communication
• Support the Treasurer in developing a treasury PAPSS function and an operational strategy that reduces participants' herstat risk and ensures obligations are met by end of day

Required profile

• First degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, financial management, economics, numerical or related fields) and a postgraduate degree in a relevant field; a recognised professional certification may be accepted in lieu of a postgraduate degree
• Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy or an MBA with a specialisation in Finance or Mathematical Sciences (Financial Mathematics)
• Recognised professional qualification in Treasury Settlements is a strong added advantage
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a treasury settlement function, preferably in financial services
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills

Required skills

• Solid grounding in financial systems database methodologies and financial modelling
• Experience with Treasury Management Systems and/or inter-company netting processes
• Knowledge of treasury, debt capital markets, financial instruments and structures
• Advanced Excel skills and computer literacy (SQL, Crystal Reports)
• Excellent English communication; French, Arabic and Portuguese are an added advantage
