Treasury & Markets Manager (Treasury Client Solutions)

About the role

The Treasury & Markets Manager (Treasury Client Solutions) supports the Treasurer in running, growing and consolidating the Bank's treasury client solutions desk into a stable, income-generating function within the wider Treasury and Markets department. The role helps implement the Bank's long-term funding strategy at minimum cost, manages investor and creditor relationships, and takes part in financial risk management and the day-to-day administration of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the treasury client solutions business pipeline, including functional processes and systems design, resource planning and deal structuring
• Manage treasury risk and support treasury projects and initiatives
• Drive the treasury client solutions business development process and materialise foreign exchange and interest rate management opportunities
• Provide market intelligence and reporting, and contribute to treasury financial policies
• Support resource planning and budgetary management

Required profile

• First degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, financial management, economics, etc.) and a postgraduate degree in a relevant field, or a recognised professional certification in lieu of a postgraduate degree
• Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy or an MBA with a finance or financial mathematics specialisation
• Recognised professional qualification in Treasury (Actuarial, Financial Mathematics, MCT/AMCT, CTP, ACCA, CiMA, CPA or equivalent) is a strong advantage
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a treasury function, preferably in the financial services industry
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting for treasury activities
• Solid grounding in financial systems database methodologies and financial modelling
• Solid experience with Treasury Management Systems
• Advanced Excel skills and computer literacy (SQL, Crystal Reports)
• Knowledge of treasury, debt capital markets, financial instruments and structures
• Excellent English communication; French, Arabic and Portuguese are an added advantage
