About the role
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a National Consultant to develop a practical, context‑responsive manual for localising Healthy City Indicators and Standards in Egypt, using the Greater Cairo Region as a pilot.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a manual that adapts Healthy City Indicators and Standards to the Egyptian context.
- Use the Greater Cairo Region as a pilot model to promote sustainable, resilient, and healthy urban areas.
- Provide a framework that can be replicated and scaled up to other Egyptian cities.
- Coordinate closely with the Urban Development Programme Manager, Country Programme Manager, project teams, government counterparts and partners.
Required profile
- Consultant role for a 6‑month part‑time assignment based in Cairo, Egypt.
