Utilities Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Utilities Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of utility equipment at our glass manufacturing facility in Ain Sokhna, Egypt. The role ensures that all utility systems run efficiently, safely, and in line with technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise utility operators and oversee daily operation and maintenance of utility equipment.
• Ensure machines and systems operate according to design specifications.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collect and analyse operational data to support troubleshooting and performance improvement.
• Prepare and manage spare parts inventory for utility assets.
• Create and update technical documentation, including standard operating procedures for existing and new equipment.
• Select appropriate tools, equipment, and technologies for optimal operations.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in utilities operation or maintenance.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Knowledge of turbomachinery and heat‑transfer principles.
