Youth Digital Learning Coordinator (Gaza Response)

About the role

The Youth Digital Learning Coordinator supports an intervention for up to 35 Palestinian youth aged 18-21, helping them gain digital and employability skills and access freelancing opportunities. The role is based in Cairo, reports to the Gaza Response Senior Officer, and is funded by a donor. It involves selecting participants, matching them to digital learning and freelancing tracks, and mobilizing digital labs and community resources.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of outreach, selection, assessment, onboarding and matching of youth to digital learning and freelancing tracks
• Coordinate digital learning and capacity-building activities and develop weekly and monthly activity plans aligned with the project workplan
• Manage the Digital and Freelancing Technical Consultant and ensure activities comply with safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion, health and safety and data protection policies
• Keep in regular contact with participating youth, track their progress and refer them to services such as MHPSS where needed
• Adapt learning materials to the needs of youth, promote peer learning and build relationships with digital labs, service providers and partners
• Map and mobilize digital labs and community spaces, and link youth to freelancing platforms, mentorship, internships and other opportunities
• Support the MEAL team in monitoring progress and outcomes, and report regularly to the Project Officer
• In a humanitarian emergency, adapt working hours and responsibilities to support emergency response
