ABAP Developer – SAP Solutions (Cairo)

About the role

We are looking for an ABAP Developer to join our SAP team in Cairo. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ABAP‑based solutions that meet business needs while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP (RICEF: reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms).
• Write efficient, well‑documented code following SAP best practices.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support unit, integration, and UAT testing.
• Provide timely support for user‑reported issues and implement enhancements.
• Contribute to project planning by estimating effort and preparing technical specifications.
• Stay updated on SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and SAP Fiori, and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing ABAP solutions.
• Proven ability to write, debug, and optimise ABAP code.
• Strong knowledge of SAP forms (Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAP Script).

Required skills

• ABAP programming language.
• SAP RICEF development (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms).
• ABAP Workbench tools.
• S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA.
• Basic understanding of SAP Fiori.
• Debugging and performance optimisation.
• Unit, integration, and UAT testing.
