Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join the Finance team of an international freight forwarding and logistics company. The role involves handling supplier invoices, vendor payments and supporting month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
• Manage vendor accounts, perform reconciliations and execute payment runs.
• Verify purchase orders, contracts and payment terms.
• Record journal entries and reconcile related accounts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax.
• Support month‑end closing and financial reporting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping or transportation.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, vendor reconciliation and payment cycles.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Very good command of English.
