Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

Martico Reefer Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join its Finance team. The role focuses on managing the full AR cycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper reconciliation of customer accounts within the freight forwarding and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record accounts receivable transactions accurately.
• Prepare customer invoices and apply payments to customer accounts.
• Reconcile customer balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare credit notes, debit notes, and customer settlements.
• Support month‑end closing, collections, and AR reporting.
• Coordinate with Sales and Operations to resolve billing and collection issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping or transportation.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in aging analysis, invoicing and collections processes.
