AI Architect

About the role

Ericsson is seeking an AI Architect to design and develop scalable, high‑performing cloud‑based AI/ML solutions within its Cognitive Networks Solutions Software R&D area. You will translate business visions into architectural strategies, work across global teams, and help shape the future of 5G, automation, and cloud computing.

Key responsibilities

• Define AI/ML and Generative AI architectural roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, data scientists, MLOps and DevOps engineers to deliver AI‑centric SaaS use cases.
• Evaluate and select open‑source and commercial technologies, considering cost, deployment models, and integration.
• Drive agile delivery of AI applications and continuously improve them.
• Partner with security and risk teams to ensure ethical AI, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide project teams through technical reviews, design approvals, and governance processes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and support business development activities.
• Lead and mentor diverse, inclusive teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in software architecture for distributed cloud applications.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud and data engineering tasks.
• Proven expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, and SaaS solution design.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects from development to production.
• Experience with agile methodologies and cross‑functional collaboration.
