Assets Maintenance & Condition Monitoring Senior Manager

About the role

The Assets Maintenance & Condition Monitoring Senior Manager reports to the Chief Maintenance Officer and is responsible for delivering preventive (Level 1) and corrective (Level 2) maintenance across the high‑speed railway network in Egypt. The role provides operational leadership to five discipline teams and ensures safe, compliant, and timely execution of maintenance plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the safe and compliant delivery of all Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance activities for railway assets.
• Manage and direct five senior engineers (HVAC, Elevators & Escalators, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) and chair daily/weekly operations meetings.
• Drive continuous‑improvement actions, address recurring failures, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Interface with the Asset Strategy function to feed data into FMECA, reliability reviews, and condition‑based maintenance programs.
• Ensure strict compliance with DBEE HSE policies, permit‑to‑work procedures, and statutory inspection requirements.
• Review and approve method statements and risk assessments for high‑risk activities and lead incident investigations.
• Coordinate OEM service providers, schedule specialist visits, and validate service reports in the CMMS.
• Lead the field workforce, manage leave planning, and optimise cross‑discipline resource utilisation.
• Identify training needs and report asset performance, failure trends, and downtime analysis to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering (required).
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams in a large‑scale infrastructure environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes for railway assets.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure HSE compliance and lead incident investigations.
