About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Construction Manager to support the daily operations of our construction sites. The role involves coordinating site activities, supervising contractors, and ensuring that quality, safety and schedule targets are met. You will work closely with the Construction Manager and the project team to ensure that all site activities are executed efficiently and in line with contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities, conduct site inspections and coordinate logistics.
- Support monitoring of contractor performance, quality standards and safety compliance.
- Enforce quality control procedures and arrange inspections with supervision consultants.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes and project correspondence.
- Track project schedule and milestones, identify risks and propose recovery actions.
- Liaise between contractors, consultants and client representatives to ensure smooth communication.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
