Assistant Financial Controller – Egypt & Levant

About the role

The Assistant Financial Controller will support Unilever’s finance function for Egypt and the Levant, ensuring accurate record‑to‑report processes, timely statutory reporting and compliance with local accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end Record to Report, Source to Pay and Order to Cash services for the assigned countries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, balance‑sheet schedules and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Unilever reporting policies, IFRS and Egypt Accounting Standards.
• Review and control accounting processes delivered by service providers, including account reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Act as finance partner to embed operational controls and support internal audits.
• Document accounting policies and procedures and drive simplification initiatives.
• Support country finance teams on new projects and change management within R2R.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
• Good knowledge of Egypt Accounting Standards.
