Assistant Production Manager

About the role

El Degwi Iron is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join its Cairo workshop. This full‑time, on‑site position supports daily manufacturing of ornamental wrought‑iron components, ensuring smooth operations, safety compliance, and high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily workshop activities such as cutting, bending, welding, and powder coating.
• Allocate tasks to technicians and labourers, monitoring progress to meet delivery targets.
• Conduct quality‑control inspections at each production stage to guarantee flawless finishing.
• Track inventory of raw steel, welding consumables, and hardware to prevent downtime.
• Report daily progress and operational challenges to the Production Manager.
• Identify and propose process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in metal fabrication, steel workshops, or ornamental iron factories.
• Hands‑on knowledge of wrought‑iron furniture, doors, or windows is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety regulations.
