About the role

The Budget Controller – Assistant Manager leads the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring financial governance and providing strategic insights to senior management. This role bridges financial planning with operational performance while maintaining strict control and discipline across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for all departments.
• Consolidate, review, and challenge budget submissions to align with strategic objectives and the Annual Operating Plan.
• Support departments with guidelines, templates, and technical assistance during budget preparation.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, generate variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare financial plans, long‑term strategic models, and monthly budget utilization reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial governance standards, and audit requirements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend financial strategies to improve profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or CFA is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or financial control.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle).
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Financial modeling and investment analysis.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and budget cycles.
