Business Development Representative

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join an AI‑driven platform serving property and casualty insurers. You will help build a qualified pipeline by reaching out to Managing General Agents and top‑tier carriers, positioning a fast, cost‑effective solution that replaces traditional consulting analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound prospecting to generate a qualified pipeline of insurance‑focused accounts.
• Book and lead qualified meetings with decision‑makers, including actuaries, product leaders, and technical stakeholders.
• Research and identify MGAs and carriers that match the ideal customer profile.
• Personalize outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Maintain accurate CRM data for accounts, contacts, and activities.
• Transition to enterprise outreach for larger carriers as you ramp up.
• Work within a land‑and‑expand sales model to open and grow accounts.
• Collaborate with the founding team on messaging, targeting, and outbound strategy.

Required profile

• 2+ years of outbound SDR/BDR experience with a proven self‑sourced pipeline.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated cold‑outreach ability via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Comfort selling technical, complex products to sophisticated buyers.
• Nice to have: experience selling into insurance, fintech, or regulated industries; background in AI, data, or technical SaaS; familiarity with multi‑stakeholder enterprise sales cycles; exposure to a land‑and‑expand motion.
