Case Worker – Aswan

About the role

The Case Worker will support the protection and case management needs of Sudanese children in Aswan. Working under the Child Protection Coordinator, the role focuses on conducting Best Interest Assessments, managing individual cases, and delivering psychosocial and information sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Best Interest Assessment interviews and draft reports when needed.
• Monitor and follow‑up on cases of unaccompanied minors and children at risk.
• Implement case management in line with Save the Children policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.
• Support the project team in planning activities and developing monthly case‑load reports.
• Facilitate orientation, workshops, follow‑up visits, and psychosocial support sessions in collaboration with the Psychosocial Activities team.
• Assist program teams as required and respond flexibly to emergencies, prioritising children’s rights and protection.

Required profile

• Experience in case management or child protection, preferably with unaccompanied minors.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and ability to adhere to them.
• Willingness to spend at least 70% of time in field sites.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to produce monthly case‑load reports.
• Capacity to work under the guidance of a Child Protection Coordinator and support multidisciplinary teams.
