Case Worker – UNHCR (Aswan, Egypt)

About the role

The UNHCR Case Worker will provide protection and case management services for Sudanese children in Aswan, Egypt. Working primarily in the field, the role conducts Best Interest Assessments, supports psychosocial sessions and strengthens community‑based protection mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Best Interest Assessment interviews and draft reports to determine children’s needs.
• Monitor and follow‑up individual cases of unaccompanied minors and children at risk.
• Implement case management in line with Save the Children policies and donor requirements.
• Support development of project activities, monthly plans and reporting on case load.
• Facilitate orientation, workshops, psychosocial and awareness sessions together with the Psychosocial Activities team.
• Promote children’s rights and respond to emergencies, ensuring flexibility and coordination with SCI interventions.

Required profile

• Education in Psychology, Sociology, Development, Political Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in humanitarian or development work with a focus on child protection.
