Category Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Category Manager to lead the growth of tMart, our cloud‑store grocery concept offering 30‑minute delivery across the Middle East. You will own the full category lifecycle – from assortment planning and pricing to promotions and supplier management – ensuring the business meets its commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain local assortments, integrating core product ranges for each category.
• Set pricing strategies in line with company guidelines, conduct market price audits and adjust prices as needed.
• Develop and execute the country promotion calendar, monitor promotional performance and optimise future campaigns.
• Negotiate with local and regional suppliers, manage contracts, discounts, rebates and payment terms.
• Monitor sales, gross margin and profit‑and‑loss performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics and merchandising teams to ensure smooth implementation of category plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple product categories in large retail or FMCG environments.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional projects and building high‑performing teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work hands‑on across the business, including warehouse or delivery operations when required.
