Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead and optimise day‑to‑day operational functions to support strategic growth in the semiconductor and IC design industry. Reporting to the CEO, the COO ensures operational excellence across engineering, project delivery, resource management and organisational scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate corporate strategy into operational plans and measurable objectives.
• Oversee daily operations, establishing governance models, performance standards and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure successful project execution, resource allocation, capacity planning and risk mitigation.
• Drive organisational transformation, scalability and operational readiness for business growth.
• Ensure compliance with policies, legal regulations, industry standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Represent operations in executive meetings and strengthen cross‑functional communication with customers, partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related engineering field.
• MBA or postgraduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 17 years of experience in operations, engineering management or executive leadership.
• Proven experience in semiconductor, IC design, high‑tech or engineering services organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale, fast‑growing operations and drive organisational effectiveness.
