Chief Technology Officer

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to steer the Group’s technology strategy, governance and digital transformation. The successful candidate will ensure robust, reliable IT services while driving innovation and cost‑efficiency across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s overall technology strategy, governance and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure availability, reliability and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, IT infrastructure and technology operations.
• Drive technology‑enabled business transformation by optimizing systems, processes and service delivery.
• Lead organizational restructuring to build a high‑performing, scalable, future‑ready technology function.
• Optimize technology costs through budgeting, vendor management, application rationalisation and operational efficiency.
• Establish robust IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management and business continuity practices.
• Foster innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that create business value.
• Partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Develop and mentor technology leaders while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes, operational excellence and enhanced customer and employee experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 7 years in a senior technology executive role.
• Proven track record leading enterprise technology functions in large, multi‑site organisations, preferably in retail, distribution, manufacturing or FMCG.
• Experience delivering digital transformation, ERP implementation, organisational restructuring and cost optimisation.
• Experience managing large technology teams and multimillion‑dollar IT budgets.
