Customer Care Coordinator – Receptionist

About the role

The Customer Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients visiting the clinic. Working at the welcome desk, you will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out processes while providing friendly, professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients, manage front‑desk operations and answer phone calls.
• Obtain pre‑patient registration data, demographic and insurance information, and schedule appointments.
• Collect co‑payments, handle cash receipts and ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Maintain confidential patient records, update files and enter data with zero errors.
• Verify patient information, process approvals, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Promote additional services through upselling and cross‑selling based on patient needs.
• Respond to patient, physician and clinical requests promptly.
• Coordinate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Handle patient inquiries, complaints, billing questions and customer surveys.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
• 0‑2 years of experience in a medical centre, customer service or related healthcare setting.
• Experience in ophthalmology or a medical environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with patient registration, appointment scheduling and health‑insurance processes is advantageous.
