DCS Control Engineer

About the role

The DCS Control Engineer will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment that drives our production lines. You will ensure product quality, optimize process parameters and support smooth start‑up and shut‑down of machinery in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain DCS systems for all production processes.
• Guarantee product quality specifications such as basis weight and humidity.
• Monitor and optimise steam pressure and hood ventilation to meet set points.
• Ensure proper functioning of the vacuum system.
• Execute smooth machine start‑up and shut‑down while maintaining quality targets.
• Troubleshoot DCS and process‑related issues to minimise downtime.
• Modify and optimise control logic, alarms and trend displays as required.
• Collaborate with other departments and report recurring problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience with DCS in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and control diagrams.
• Willingness to work in a shift system if needed.
