Deputy IT Manager – Infrastructure

About the role

The Deputy IT Manager – Infrastructure will support Nile University by designing, implementing and maintaining a robust IT environment. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that hardware, software and network services meet the university’s current and future needs.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with users and management to assess requirements and define technical solutions.
• Plan, design, install, configure, test and operate servers, storage, RAID, virtualization platforms and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Manage backup, archive and recovery processes, monitor logs and perform regular restoration tests.
• Monitor performance and capacity of infrastructure components, applying updates, upgrades and hardware expansions as needed.
• Prepare technical specifications, scope of work documents and coordinate with external vendors.
• Ensure availability, continuity and security of all systems, handling change requests through standard procedures.
• Produce regular status reports for senior management and support end‑users across all offered services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructure in a large organization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend hardware and software solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multiple teams and external partners.
• Ability to develop and document operational procedures and user manuals.
