Digital Signal Processing Designer/Architect

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a Digital Signal Processing Designer/Architect to shape low‑power hardware architectures for wireless communication modems and signal‑processing algorithms. You will translate product and marketing requirements into robust hardware solutions and work closely with global development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Understand wireless communication modem standards (e.g., BLE) and derive system/design specifications.
• Develop hardware development plans covering micro‑architecture, RTL design, integration, and performance analysis.
• Create and execute hardware verification plans, including test definition, testbench design, silicon validation, and coverage analysis.
• Integrate single‑ and multi‑core systems, perform synthesis, linting, static/dynamic power analysis, and post‑layout simulations.
• Support system verification, in‑lab conformance testing, and design certification.
• Collaborate with multi‑functional teams in Cairo and worldwide.

Required profile

• Strong experience with wireless communication standards, especially BLE and short‑range protocols.
• Proven ability to translate complex system‑level requirements into optimized hardware implementations.
• Experience in hardware architecture for wireless modems and DSP IPs.
• Solid knowledge of peripheral interfaces, on‑chip interconnects, and embedded microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with wireless test equipment and system integration.
