Electrical Design Expert

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Expert specialized in Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear. You will design and engineer LV Switchgear systems that meet customer requirements, IEC standards, and the company’s quality expectations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer LV Switchgear systems in line with IEC and company standards.
• Prepare technical documentation such as Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Review customer specifications and ensure design compliance.
• Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and protection coordination studies.
• Support technical submittals, customer clarifications, and design reviews.
• Provide technical assistance during manufacturing, FAT, commissioning, and project execution.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and engineering standardisation.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in LV Switchgear design and power distribution.
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards and protection/control systems.
• Proficiency with design tools such as EPLAN or SEEXP.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
