Electrical Engineer – Logistics Park Projects

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead the planning, supervision and execution of all electrical works for a new logistics park in Port Said, Egypt. The role ensures installations are safe, on schedule, within budget and comply with Egyptian codes and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve drawings, specifications, BOQs, material submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical and infrastructure teams to avoid conflicts.
• Monitor contractor performance, conduct inspections and prepare reports.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and hand‑over of MV/LV systems, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, PA and structured cabling.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare progress reports, support procurement and verify contractor invoices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and registration with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical works for logistics parks, warehouses, industrial facilities or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale construction projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Medium Voltage (MV) system installation and commissioning.
• Low Voltage (LV) distribution design and implementation.
• Transformers, substations and diesel generator integration.
• UPS systems, lighting (including emergency), earthing and lightning protection.
• Power distribution panels, cable trays and routing.
• Fire alarm, CCTV, access control and public address systems.
• Structured cabling and Building Management System (BMS) interfaces.
