Estimation Engineer – Remote (Egypt)

About the role

The Estimation Engineer will review tender documents, drawings and specifications to produce accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil construction projects. This is a remote, work‑from‑home position open only to candidates residing in Egypt. The role demands strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines independently.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules and project requirements.
• Define a practical scope of works using engineering experience, AI tools and project needs.
• Interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare clear and accurate Bills of Quantities for tender submissions.
• Mark‑up drawings to identify scope, quantities and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams during the estimating process.
• Ensure estimates are delivered within tender deadlines.
• Maintain organised records of estimates, take‑offs and supporting documents.
• Provide administrative support such as filing, correspondence and updating trackers.

Required profile

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing BOQs and quantity take‑offs for civil projects.
• Proficient computer skills with ability to use estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to work independently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
