Fleet Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Fleet Maintenance Engineer will design, implement and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program for the organization’s vehicle fleet. This role ensures maximum equipment utilization, safety compliance, and cost‑effective operations while leading a team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a fleet maintenance program to maximize equipment utilization.
• Create and manage the budget for all fleet maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.
• Track and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments to guarantee timely and efficient maintenance.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to secure quality, cost‑effective repairs.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle or fleet maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication skills.
