Geologist

About the role

Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) is seeking a Geologist to join its integrated, multi‑disciplinary agile squads. The role supports BP’s oil, gas and low‑carbon projects across the full lifecycle, from early exploration to late‑life field management.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and integrate core, well‑log, seismic, analogue and dynamic data to build structural, stratigraphic, depositional, rock‑property and fluid frameworks.
• Develop subsurface scenarios, quantify uncertainties and communicate risk to inform business decisions.
• Deliver high‑quality geological inputs for exploration, resource progression, depletion planning and reservoir management.
• Collaborate with other subsurface disciplines and act as a technical contributor or squad lead as required.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, share best practices and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Egyptian national with experience in exploration, appraisal, development, production geoscience or low‑carbon projects.
• Strong ability to integrate static and dynamic subsurface data and to communicate uncertainty and risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
