Graphic Design Instructor

About the role

STEMers is seeking a part‑time remote Graphic Design Instructor to lead online courses that cover fundamental and advanced design concepts. The instructor will help learners develop visual communication, typography, layout, and web‑design skills through interactive lessons and hands‑on projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver live and recorded graphic‑design lessons for diverse skill levels.
• Prepare instructional materials, digital examples, and demonstration files.
• Guide students through design projects, offering constructive feedback and support.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Collaborate with the STEMers curriculum team to refine course content and integrate technology‑focused activities.

Required profile

• Strong background in graphic design, visual communication, and typography.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students in an online or hybrid environment.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners.
• Relevant education or professional experience in graphic design, visual arts, or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Experience using Figma or comparable UI/UX design tools.
• Knowledge of web‑design fundamentals and basic UI/UX concepts.
• Ability to create clear visual communication and effective typography.
