Head of Leadership & Capability Development

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior leader to shape and deliver a global learning and capability strategy. The Head of Leadership & Capability Development will design innovative programmes that build organisational and individual capacity across all offices, ensuring staff have the skills to achieve the organisation’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a scalable learning and development strategy, frameworks and curricula covering leadership, management, personal effectiveness and other capability areas.
• Design, deliver and implement a Global Leadership and Management Curriculum that reinforces SCI’s leadership behaviours.
• Partner with People Partners, the Head of Talent and other stakeholders to assess learning needs, create comprehensive learning plans and ensure high‑quality programme execution.
• Integrate diversity, equity and inclusion principles into all training materials and delivery methods.
• Evaluate programme effectiveness, analyse data and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global talent, learning or leadership development functions.
• Strong understanding of talent management, succession planning and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments and embed DEI principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
