Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations across public areas and guest floors, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction for a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and supervise housekeeping staff to deliver prompt, courteous service to guests and internal departments.
• Inspect public areas and guest rooms, especially VIP and repeat‑guest rooms, to verify cleanliness, condition of furnishings, and compliance with hotel standards.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to communicate room status, maintenance needs, and any outstanding issues.
• Assist in recruitment, performance management, training needs analysis, and delivery of monthly training sessions for housekeeping staff.
• Schedule routine inspections of occupied and vacant rooms and monitor usage of amenities and cleaning supplies to stay within budget.
• Support implementation of lost‑and‑found, key control, security, emergency, health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a housekeeping department, preferably within a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to lead a team, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (oral and written).
