IT Engineer – Infrastructure & Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to manage and support Summit Group’s technology infrastructure across offices and construction sites in Cairo. The role ensures reliable, secure operations of networks, servers, hardware, and software while providing timely user support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, systems, and hardware.
• Provide technical support to employees, project teams, and remote construction sites.
• Install, configure, and upkeep computers, laptops, printers, and network devices.
• Monitor network performance, connectivity, and system availability.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, permissions, and IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and data‑security procedures.
• Support cybersecurity measures such as antivirus, firewalls, and access controls.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Maintain documentation, asset registers, licenses, and system records.
• Support ERP, project‑management, communication, and other business applications.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional IT experience, preferably in construction or project‑based environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work under pressure.

• Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls).
• Windows operating systems and server environments.
• Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration.
• Hardware installation and maintenance.
