IT Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Technical Support Engineer will deliver front‑line hardware and software assistance to internal users at PICO’s Mohandessin office. You will act as the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring rapid resolution and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hardware, software and front‑end technical support for all internal users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software application problems.
• Handle help‑desk requests via telephone, email and ticketing portal, managing the service ticket queue and prioritising tasks.
• Set up new desktops and laptops with required business applications and configure operating systems.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, mailboxes and groups.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners and related equipment.
• Test new technologies, organise cabling and verify passive network components.
• Install, maintain and test security cameras.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication Engineering or a related discipline.
