Junior Financial Controller

About the role

As a Junior Financial Controller based in Cairo, you will own cost control and financial accuracy across a portfolio of construction and heavy‑industry projects. You will work closely with procurement and project teams to prepare budgets, forecasts and detailed cost reports that support management decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost reports, variance analysis and reliable forecasts.
• Track and control expenditures against budgets and estimates.
• Collaborate with accounting, procurement and project teams to verify and validate costs.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support their implementation.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate cost‑related data in ERP and financial systems.
• Support audit and financial review processes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in cost control, preferably in construction or heavy industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax legislation.
• High accuracy, thoroughness and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., D365).
• Experience with Power BI for reporting.
• Financial modelling and analytical skills.
