Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join TIBA Development’s engineering team. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design for large‑scale commercial projects such as malls and hotels, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, code‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating mechanical concept and detailed design packages.
• Perform load and hydraulic calculations for fire protection networks.
• Carry out duct and pipe sizing calculations.
• Prepare equipment schedules, bills of quantities and related documentation.
• Verify that all designs comply with relevant standards and local codes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Power Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience on mega‑commercial projects within a consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated experience with malls, hotels or similar large developments.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HAP software.
• Advanced AutoCAD drafting skills.
• Experience with Elite calculation tools.
