Junior SOC Engineer

About the role

As a Junior SOC Engineer you will join Orange Business' Security Operations Center to monitor, investigate and respond to network security alerts. You will work in a 24×7 environment, applying playbooks and escalating complex incidents while continuously improving detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, NDR and SIEM platforms.
• Perform triage and deep analysis of network traffic, logs and packets to identify malicious activity or misconfigurations.
• Execute response actions according to approved playbooks, supporting containment and mitigation.
• Escalate complex cases with clear technical evidence and documentation.
• Validate remediation actions and contribute to the enhancement of detection rules and use cases.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of network security fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Hands‑on experience with network security tools and SIEM platforms.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined in following procedures and able to communicate findings clearly.
• Motivated to deepen expertise in a 24×7 SOC environment.
