About the role

EgyBell is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a leading insurance company. You will work on Java EE applications, contributing to development, maintenance, and integration of web‑based solutions while collaborating with a cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and bug fixes for existing Java EE applications.
Maintain and enhance front‑end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JSTL, jQuery, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
Work with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL) and JPA (EclipseLink) for data persistence.
Develop and test REST and SOAP web services, using Postman for API validation.
Deploy applications on Oracle WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere environments.
Manage source code with Git and SVN, and track work using Jira.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates are welcome).
Strong command of English.
Interest or experience in the insurance sector is a plus.

Object‑oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
HTML5, CSS3, JSTL, jQuery, Bootstrap, JavaScript.
Oracle Database (9i), SQL, PL/SQL.
JPA (EclipseLink), XSL, XML.
REST/SOAP services, Postman.
Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere.
Git, SVN, Jira.
JasperReports (report design) and Crystal Reports (optional).
