Lead Architecture Engineer – Rail Depot Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Architecture Engineer to head the design‑review of railway depot buildings for SYSTRA Egypt. The role involves ensuring architectural deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve all architectural documents related to railway depot projects.
• Maintain procedures that guarantee quality, reliability and safety in design.
• Apply fire life‑safety regulations and standards to mega‑projects.
• Coordinate and resolve interfaces between architectural, civil, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve technical specifications.
• Monitor progress of design reviews and report status to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in architecture.
• Proven experience in architectural design review.
• Extensive background in railway or transit‑oriented projects.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
