Learning Support Assistant (Co‑Teacher) – Primary

About the role

The Egypt Education Platform is hiring a Learning Support Assistant (Co‑Teacher) to work alongside the lead teacher at GEMS British School AlRehab. This position supports a primary classroom environment, helping students with diverse needs achieve their learning goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher during lessons and learning activities.
• Help plan, prepare, and organise classroom resources.
• Provide individual or small‑group support to students as directed.
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management.
• Supervise students during class time, breaks and school activities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
• Fluency in English.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, supportive and enthusiastic about working with children.
