Maintenance Engineer – Production & Facility Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment and facilities at Egyptian Abrasives Co. in Alexandria. The role involves planning preventive maintenance, handling emergencies, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow up periodic and preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the production department.
• Review maintenance records and generate spare‑parts purchase orders.
• Monitor machine performance to guarantee operational efficiency and address routine or emergency stoppages.
• Maintain company buildings and facilities as required.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives such as reliability‑centered maintenance, process optimization, and cost‑reduction projects.
• Motivate team members, promote teamwork, and report mechanical failures with root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare reports on operational activities and maintenance progress.
• Ensure quality and safety systems comply with company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with production technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
