Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures guest areas and facilities operate smoothly by responding to repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping equipment in optimal condition. This full‑time position supports both interior and exterior upkeep at a hospitality venue in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, machinery, and building systems; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts using approved communication tools.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC units, and guestroom items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any repair work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, clear communication skills, and a customer‑service mindset.
